Meet our BlaBlaStar, Diana. A BlaBlaStar is a member of the community who has caught our eye because of their exciting job, their interesting hobbies or for just being generally awesome. Diana is a Psychology Lecturer at Portsmouth University and she regularly uses BlaBlaCar as a passenger.
What do you love about BlaBlaCar?
Well first of all, it’s an incredibly inexpensive way to travel, often door-to-door. Second of all I get to talk to people I probably wouldn’t meet during my day -to-day life.
What has been your best BlaBlaCar experience?
The first time I used BlaBlaCar I travelled with a woman who taught the UK Military about chemical and biological weaponry, which was really interesting to hear about. Another time I rode with a ferry driver and got to listen to him make-up a bedtime story on the spot for his son using his hands-free set. It was a really cute and creative story.
Tell us about your job
My job as a Psychology Lecturer is amazing: I’m so lucky. I get to read and think about what interests me most of the time. Often I have students who are really excited about the subject matter I lecture on. Also, the job is really flexible and I’m surrounded by really smart and passionate people who are excited by the same nerdy stuff as me!
